As I descend into this cave on the coast of Israel, I hear nothing but the waves of the ocean echoing around me. After I set up my camera and tripod, I look up and notice that this one smaller rock is holding up the cave. I am in awe. If it were not for this one rock, at any moment the entire cave could come crashing down on me. I captured this photo during 'Sefirat HaOmer’ - the seven weeks in between the holidays of Passover and Shavuot that are each focused on different areas of self-growth. This photo was taken during the week of Gevurah - Strength. As I now reflect on the experience of taking this photo, I am reminded that just as this ‘little’ rock can hold up a big cave, I also have the strength within me to overcome any challenges and continue forward.
