On the eastern shore of the Sea of Galilee lies the hidden gem of Givat Yoav, a small community of less than a thousand people. I follow a thin path on the outskirts of the town that leads me amidst fields of grains and scattered olive trees. The wind rustles through the leaves and the grasses as the sun sets and the light fades with each step I take. As I reach the end of the narrow pathway, a surprising expanse opens up to greet me with a heavenly view of the Sea of Galilee and a lone Eucalyptus tree towering over its surroundings of luscious green. It appears to me that this powerful figure has taken a protective stance watching over this Paradise as the sun continues to rise and fall with each passing day.
